Prior to joining Deloitte, he worked at Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ for more than 30 years. He was involved in bond trading, syndication, risk management and regulatory issues. He worked closely with Basel committee members to create Basel II framework in Operational Risk; he also worked closely with regulators like JFSA, BOJ and ADB for more than 10 years on securities settlement and market infrastructure development. He was the Head Committee of Japan Banker’s Association, a group member of Derivative and Liquidity Working Group of Japanese Securities Dealers Association, a networking group member in BOJ and an ISO20022 member.
